Top Ten Books That Will Make You Cry

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish

I cry a lot while reading books. I don’t know why. I just do. I get way over-emotional when it comes to characters and books and I just cry and cry. So this week, I’ll post the top ten books that made ME cry, since I probably cry much more than most people when reading books. 😀

This week is the Top Ten Books That Will Make You Cry

1. The Fault in our Stars

2. Eleanor & Park

3. Thirteen Reasons Why

4. Heartbeat

5. Looking For Alaska

6. The Impossible Knife of Letting Go

7. The Perks of Being A Wallflower

8. A Walk to Remember

9. Speak

10. Impulse

Bolded books are the ones that I cried the hardest for.

What books made you cry?

  1. I cried a lot in The Fault in Our Stars, it was definitely a tear-jerker for sure. I am going to cry all over again when watching the movie.

I just read Eleanor & Park and I thought I was the only one who thought it was sad. I cried throughout the scenes of Eleanor’s family and how tough she has it. How she has to hide from Park at the beginning and it just fills me with overwhelming sadness.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower changed me forever. I especially cried near the ending when Charlie finds out information about his aunt that he has been hiding within himself. As an aunt myself, I could never even think of doing that to my nephew and it just tortured me to read.

I also have to put that I cried in the last three Harry Potter books. As one tends to do when characters die -_-

    1. I can’t wait for the TFiOS movie! So excited! I’m going to feel awful after watching it, but I don’t care. I have yet to read any of the Harry Potter books 😦 I keep putting it off! I have the first three books somewhere, though.
