Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish
I don’t have a whole lot of variety now that I’m actually looking to see how many books I have from each author. I guess it’s a bit obvious who my favorites are! 😀
This week is Ten Authors I Own The Most Books From:

1. Sarah Dessen – I own seven of her books.
Sarah Dessen was one of the authors that really got me into reading. The first book by Dessen that I ever read was The Truth About Forever, which I bought from my middle school’s scholastic book fair, and my favorite book is Just Listen. I’ve read all of her books except for Lullaby-which I only partly read/listened to via an audio book that somehow went missing- even though it was a digital copy…
2. Ellen Hopkins – I own five of her books.

I first learned about Ellen Hopkins in my ninth grade English Class. A classmate read a book report on Crank and I just had to check out one of her books. Funny thing is, a few weeks before hearing the report while my class was visiting the school’s library, I picked up one of her books, noticed it was poetry, and put in back down. I didn’t realize it wasn’t a bunch of individual poems, but rather a novel in poetry form.
3. John Green – I own five of his books.
John Green has gained quite a bit of popularity lately, with TFiOS coming out and everyone raving about his books, tumblr, and youtube channel. I put off reading his books until a friend recommended I read Looking for Alaska last year. She wasn’t the first person to recommend I read it, but I trused her opinion since we often liked the same books. After buying Looking for Alaska and TFiOS, I ended up reading TFiOS first, and I loved it so much I read the rest of his books within the next month as quickly as I could get my hands on them. Not all of them were as great for me as I felt TFiOS was the first time I read it, though.
4. Marissa Meyer -I own three of her books.
I bought Cinder at B&N on a whim one day last year and was blown away by the worldbuilding, retelling, and pretty much everything else in the book. I’ll admit I wasn’t as into the series until after I read Scarlet. Scarlet pretty much sealed my love for the series, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Cress! I have my pretty little set of all three books (how awesome are the covers!) on my top shelf of favorites along with Dessen’s books.
5. Suzanne Collins – I own three of her books
After seeing the first movie, I had to read THG, and then the next day I made my mom pick up both Catching Fire and Mockingjay from Meijers during one of her errands and read them immediately after she handing them to me. I think it was the fastest I’ve ever read an entire series, totalling about 2 1/2 days. I’m not as crazy about the series now, but I would still recommend these books to anyone who hasn’t already read them.
6. Elizabeth Scott – I own two of her books.
Scott was the other author who got me hooked into reading along with Dessen. I grabbed a copy of Something, Maybe at walmart when I was about thirteen and within the next two months or so I gathered up as many of her other books I could find along with any similar books, which is how I came across Dessen. Many of her books aren’t something I really enjoy reading (or re-reading) anymore so I gave them away to close friends/family members, but they’ll always have a special place in my heart, so I kept my two favorites as a reminder.
7. Christopher Pike – I own two of his books.
I had about six of Pike’s books on my shelves, but most of them now sit in a box in storage. I had all the books in his Thirst series, but now only the last book is on my shelves. I also have Remember Me, which I didn’t really enjoy, but I haven’t had the chance to find it a new home yet. If you haven’t read Thirst, you definitely should!
The rest of the authors only have one book on my shelves.
Thanks for visiting my blog! I’ve read at least 3 of John Green’s books, and the 3 Suzanne Collins books, they just didn’t make my list. I keep hearing Marissa Meyer’s books are really good.

Haha, I did the exact same thing with an Ellen Hopkins book once! *hangs head in shame* Even after realizing they were novels told in verse, I still haven’t picked one of her books up yet. Which one would you recommend? 🙂
And the Lunar Chronicles covers are totally gorgeous, the spines looks so pretty on my bookshelf xD

I would recommend Crank or Burned. They deal with heavy topics, but I think they’re the least ‘heavy’ in comparison to her other books. My favorites, though, would be Tricks and Identical. 🙂 Thanks for commenting! 🙂

LOL! I’ve read only one book by Jessica Sorensen, and I don’t think I’ve read anything by those other authors. I’ll have to check them out! 🙂 Thanks for commenting!

You MUST read Colleen Hoover. If you like Sarah Dessen you’ll love Colleen Hoover.
