I typically dislike making “New Year’s Resolutions” just because I don’t think a new year necessarily means you get to start ‘new’. Also, since I am the ultimate procrastinator, I can’t afford to believe in it. If I did, it would be another way to procrastinate. Like, I can start doing so and so on New Years instead of now, when there’s no reason I can’t start doing it right away. So instead of making goals for 2015, I’m going to make goals for right now that I want to carry into 2015.
Here’s my Top Ten Five Goals for Right Now:
1. I’m going to apply to two or three scholarships per month. I’d really rather not start college with a ton of debt in student loans, but that seems pretty much inevitable, so the next best thing would be to shrink that amount as much as I can by applying for scholarships.
2. Volunteer every Tuesday. I’ve was required to volunteer for a certain amount of hours for a school project, and I’ve already completed pretty much all of my hours, but I want to continue volunteering at the Senior Living Center I’ve been going to. I assist the seniors while they play Bingo or during other activities.
3. Write everyday. Lately, I’ve been only writing on the weekends because that’s the only time I’m not overly stressing about school, but with everything dying down a bit because of the holidays, I should have more time to write at least a little bit every day.
4. Read everyday. This one is kind of pointless, really, because I usually read everyday, but lately, I’ve been reading only the weekends because of the same reasons I mentioned in the last number.
5. Continue getting all A’s and B’s. I tend to slack off a bit around second semester because I start to long for summer and warm days, and freedom. That’s totally not going to happen this year. ;D
These are such amazing goals! Best of luck with your scholarships! I’m sure you’ll manage to be successful. You’re so sweet. :O We need more people like you in the world! On behalf of the world, thank you Jessica. Good luck with your writing and reading! I’m hoping to get A’s and B’s as well in 2015. Hopefully we can both pull through! 😀

Thanks! I volunteer only for about an hour and half per week, so it’s not a lot really, but it’s enjoyable.

Awesome set of goals, Jessica! Best of luck with all of them 😀 You make a good point about New Year’s Resolutions, I never really realized that.
I always tell myself I’ll try to write everyday, but it hasn’t happened xD Fingers crossed that this time around I’ll actually achieve that goal. And some extra good luck on your scholarships! I’m sure you’ll be accepted for at least a one, especially since you’re working hard and applying to so many ^_^

I think those goals are quite lovely, and say a lot about you as a person. Especially the volunteering bit. That’s awesome. It’s something I should do more in my life.

Great resolutions, especially to apply to scholarships. College does get very expensive.

Oh man, I have to volunteer too. I have 5 more months to do so and 7 hours of volunteering left. I can manage, right? But school is taking so much time and blogging and reviewing that it kinda sucks (to volunteer) lol. Those are great and achievable goals! I’m sure you’ll fullfil them all! Good luck with the scholarship though! CEGEP is not costly, except for the books, so I don’t need one but you you’ll be starting university, woah. My goal would be to just finish the year with an average great of 80%+ which will be easy, I just need to keep being relatively motivated 😛
